Bloodstone, a warriors ally

Bloodstone, also known as Heliotrope, is a stone that various civilizations have used throughout the ages. It is a green stone with red inclusions of hematite, which resemble spots of blood.

Bloodstone has been used in jewelry for thousands of years, with the earliest recorded usage in Ancient Babylon. When Babylonian warriors went to war, they brought their Bloodstone with them because they believed it would protect them and stopped the bleeding when being wounded.

Believed to boost your energy levels and increase your endurance, Greeks and Romans wore them during athletic games, as well as into battle.
