The stone of the hidden fire. It was the blue treasure of the oldest city in the Americas.

Product Highlights:

  • The Stone: Formed kilometers underground from sodium-rich alkaline magma at temperatures between 600°C and 900°C, Sodalite is born in geological conditions so rare most geologists never encounter them in the field. It only reaches the surface through massive volcanic activity. Its deep royal blue is caused by sulfur clusters trapped within the crystal lattice. Each tube-cut bead features unique white veining, and under ultraviolet light, Sodalite glows a surprising, molten orange, a hidden fire inside the blue stone. Set with hematite spacers and a sterling silver logo bead.

  • History: Around 2600 BC, the people of Caral, the oldest known city in the Americas. traded across hundreds of kilometers for this stone. While Egypt was building its first pyramids, Caral was doing the same; interestingly, archaeologists found no weapons or walls there, only bone flutes and blue stone. Later, the Tiwanaku civilization in Bolivia carved Sodalite into intricate beads between 1500 BC and 1000 AD. The stone’s modern prestige was cemented in 1901 when the Princess of Wales fell in love with Canadian Sodalite and had 130 tons shipped to London to decorate Marlborough House. The site of the find is still known as the Princess Sodalite Quarry.

  • The Belief: In modern crystal practice, Sodalite is a throat and third eye chakra stone, associated with logic, truth, and inner peace. It is often carried to sharpen thought, encourage honest expression, and quiet "inner noise." Whether used as a tool for clarity or worn for its incredible volcanic history, the pull of this stone has remained constant for over 4,500 years. The reasons change; the attraction does not.

Our pieces are made with natural gemstones; slight variations in color, size, and pattern may occur.

Sodalite

☉ ♂ ♄ ☿

Canadian stone. Midnight marble.

From Ontario's ancient mountains. Deep royal blue shot through with white lightning. Unknown to the world until 1891.

Blue depths. Electric veins.

Polished to reveal its drama. White calcite cuts through midnight blue like frozen lightning. Some pieces are storms of pattern. Others are mostly deep, pure blue.
Sodalite Bracelet IV (4mm) - Primary Specimen

Mountain born. Hand-chosen.

Formed in volcanic depths and pushed skyward over millennia. We select pieces with the richest blues and sharpest veining. Each bead is its own midnight landscape.

The clarity stone. Enduring.

Believed to sharpen thinking and cut through confusion. Treasured by those who need to see clearly and speak truth. For men who think first and act with purpose.
